Privacy

Sundown is built to know as little about you as possible. The data controller is Mateusz Nowak, trading as By Nowak, Rzeszów, Poland. Contact for any privacy request: business@bynowak.com. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO) or the authority where you live.

What we store

• Account: your email address, and your password stored only as a salted hash that we can't read.
• Your Sundown data: your loops, evenings, notes and settings. These are stored on your computer and synced to your account so they're available on your other computers.
• Subscription: your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, status and renewal date. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Sign-in sessions: a random token per device (we store only its hash) and a device label such as “Windows app”.

We don't use analytics, ads or trackers in the app, and we don't sell or share your data.

Why

To provide the service you signed up for (contract): signing in, syncing your notes and managing your subscription. Billing records are also kept to meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Who processes it

• Cloudflare hosts the website, the app's account service and the database.
• Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.

These providers may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

How long

We keep your account and synced data until you delete your account. Deleting it in the app (Account → Delete account) cancels your subscription and immediately erases your account, sessions and synced data from our database. Payment records stay with Stripe for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can access, export (Settings → Download), correct or delete your data at any time, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. Email us for anything the app doesn't let you do yourself.
